Great Stupa, Dehradun, India:

  The great Stupa in Og Min Ogyen is world’s largest stupa, it is 185 feet tall and 100 square feet in width, Located in Og Min Ogyen Mindrolling Monastery. Clement town in Dehradun, India. it was inaugurated by His Holiness The Dalai Lama on 28th of October, 2002. Stupa is a great example of Buddhist art, religion, culture, tradition and architecture, future Buddha has been beautifully painted on the Facade of the stupa. Stupa is surrounded by soft grasslands and 2-acre of landscaped garden and offers a panoramic view of the city. Stupa has five storeys and accessible by stairs, each storey has Shrine room with elaborate murals and filled with statues, paintings and other items. Local people especially visit this monastery complex on weekends to enjoy the serene environment of this place. 


Opening timings for all days of the week: 9:00 AM – 7 PM

The fourth floor of the Great Stupa remains open for visitors only on Sundays.
